HGO Needs You!
This season is one of triumph over adversity as HGO performs in its temporary home at the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRB).
The talented HGO production team has transformed an exhibit hall into a unique and exciting performance space that you'll want to see for yourself.
HGO Guild volunteers have helped with the opening productions at the HGO Resilience Theater, and the experience has been thrilling and rewarding. The HGO staff is grateful for our help, and it is clear we are needed.
HGO again needs your help during the winter rep (January 19 - February 10, 2018)for performances of Elektra and The Barber of Seville.
Volunteers should plan to arrive 2 hours before curtain time: 5:30 p.m. for evening performances, noon on Sundays. Once the performance begins, the Guild helpers are free to leave.
Guild volunteers are posted at various locations to answer questions and to give directions. One person is stationed at the elevator on the 2nd floor to help those with disabilities. The duty requires that you be on your feet and moving around for a couple of hours. The gratitude of the customers and the staff makes it worth your time and effort.
Your parking in the garage on Rusk Street is compensated with vouchers to use on your way out. There are HGO Guild T-shirts for anyone who wants one. Both the parking vouchers and the T-shirts are in the ushers' headquarters where you will check in. We are given a "volunteer" tag to wear as identification.
The dates when Guild volunteers are needed are:
Friday, 1/19, 7:30 p.m. - Elektra opening
Thanks for volunteering!
